Rittenhouse Senior Living announces the Grand Opening of two new locations.

Rittenhouse Senior Living, announces the opening of two new senior living communities as part of its three-community partnership with Indiana based Developer Steve Garatoni. “We are excited to announce that we have begun operations in two of the three planned communities in Northern Indiana”, announced Ed Yarish, CEO of the King of Prussia, PA based senior living company. Rittenhouse Senior Living of Valparaiso and Rittenhouse Senior Living of Michigan City both opened their doors this month with 90 and 120 units respectively. Each building is approximately 68,500 square feet and includes a secured memory care unit, modern amenities and spacious apartments. Included in the Michigan City location are 30 2-bedroom, Independent Living Villas. A third building located in Portage, IN is currently under construction and will open in the Fall of 2010.
Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting events were held in each location drawing as many as 350 local professionals and dignitaries. “These two communities were extremely receptive to a new provider coming to town”, stated Frank Wehr, the company’s COO. We are bringing a new, quality service to the seniors of these communities and providing approximately 100 jobs at a time when many businesses aren’t thriving”, continued Wehr.
Rittenhouse is a national senior living company currently operating in 4 states. “Our growth plan includes both acquisition and development,” states Mr. Yarish. This partnership with Steve Garatoni was a unique opportunity to enhance our portfolio and to expand our Operations further into the Midwest.
Rittenhouse Senior Living merges with Performance Improvement Partners for strategic growth.

Rittenhouse Senior Living announces today that Performance Improvement Partners has merged with Rittenhouse as part of its strategic growth plan. Rittenhouse Senior Living is a national provider of Independent, Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s care and currently owns and operates facilities in 4 states, with several more under construction in Indiana. “We are uniquely positioned for significant growth through acquisitions and have added a strong sales and marketing component to our team” states Ed Yarish, CEO of Rittenhouse. “Katie Csobaji and her team have been instrumental in helping us launch the Rittenhouse brand so we are looking forward to the continuity of her leadership as we grow”, states Yarish.
Performance Improvement Partners was founded in 2003 by Katie Csobaji after Marriott International sold its senior living division to Sunrise Senior Living. At the time, Ms. Csobaji was the Vice President of the Independent Living product line for Marriott and ventured out on her own after the sale. Performance Improvement Partners is a full service consulting firm specializing in health care, senior living and real estate turn around projects. The firm was instrumental in helping Sunrise launch Fox Hill, Senior Condominiums and supported Brookdale Senior Livings’ sales teams through a variety of engagements. Previously, she held the position of National Director of Sales and Marketing for Brookdale Senior Living where she supported much of their growth and became skilled at integrating new acquisitions into the Brookdale brand. She also held the position of Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the Arden Courts product under Manor Care.
“Katie and I have worked together since early in our careers at Manor Care”, stated Frank Wehr, COO of Rittenhouse Senior Living. “She brings the experience of opening over 50 facilities nationwide and successfully leading teams through acquisitions and turn-around projects”. Ms. Csobaji will be instrumental in our growth plans as the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Rittenhouse and is also responsible for new business development and consulting services.
